Markets wobble as Christmas approaches
19 December 2024
It has been a volatile week of trade, with stock markets and cryptocurrencies selling off aggressively in the lead into Christmas.
Precious metal markets have also been impacted, with silver in particular seeing a strong pullback in overnight trade.
Gold has held up better, with the precious metal still currently trading just below USD $2,600 and AUD $4,200 per troy ounce.
Both metals remain on track to record stellar gains across the full calendar year, with gold leading mainstream asset class returns in 2024.
Our Christmas market wrap up reviews the year in detail, including key trends we have observed here at ABC Bullion.
On behalf of the entire team at ABC Bullion, I would like to take this final opportunity to thank you for your support in 2024, and I hope you have a great Christmas and New Year period with friends, family and loved ones.
